Traveling to Costa Rica - Visas and Passports

passport.jpgCitizens of Australia, Canada, the USA and Western European countries do not need visas to enter Costa Rica.

All visitors need a passport valid for six months from the date of travel, a return or onward ticket, and adequate finances for the duration of their stay.

You will be issued a tourist card on arrival. Valid for 90 days, it can be extended at a migración (immigration Office) in any major city.
